Nirvana Leix D.D.S.
Dr. Leix is a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Denistry (2003). She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa and University of Wisconsin - Platteville, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She also received her Bachelors of Science in Dentistry from University of Illinois at Chiago.
Since graduating, Dr. Leix has worked as an associate general dentist in various cosmetic and family dental practices in the Chicago area. She has also worked for an underserved children's dental clinic, where she enjoyed serving the children of the community and providing parents with educational tools for their child's optimal dental health.
Leix Dental began with Dr. Leix's vision of practicing dentistry. Dr. Leix has incorporated many elements into Leix Dental that she would want for herself and her own family. The goal at Leix Dental is to offer quality dentistry in a comfortable and soothing environment, making every visit a positive experience. We believe in our committment to deliver state of the art dentistry to enhance your health and well being. We are devoted to education and are continuously striving for excellence in clinical care and patient services as a team of warm professionals. We are excited to provide exceptional dental care to patients who can appreciate the difference.
Dr. Leix enjoys sports, running, photography and time with her family. She is a devoted Bears fan. Dr. Leix and her husband, Jason, enjoy spending time with their family. They have two sons, Andrew and Alex, and daughter, Isabella. She has strong family values and hopes that those values are expressed in her family dental practice. She looks forward to building long term relationships with her patients and serving the community in which she lives.
Dana ~Dental Hygienist
Dana began her career as a Registered Dental Hygienist over 3 years ago. At Leix Dental she performs routine cleanings, periodontal therapy and educates her patients on the importance of oral health and disease prevention with good daily homecare.
Dana has worked with Dr. Leix for over 2 years. She likes working in a pleasant, positive and stress free practice that offers the latest technology. Dana also enjoy s the individualized relationships she has with her patients and co-workers. Dana has a great passion for helping make a difference in her patients’ lives and oral health. “I enjoy helping people understand the importance of oral health and how to reach it.” Dana also connects well with her younger patients because she is a kid at heart.
In her free time, Dana enjoys being outdoors camping, fishing, canoeing, hiking or boating. She is an animal lover and likes taking her dog Tilly for walks. For fun she also likes to sing karaoke (not that she is good at it she says), go to concerts with her boyfriend Steve and cheer on the Bears and Cubs when they play. Dana is 50 percent Danish and is a Demark citizen as well. Family and friends are very important to Dana too.
Beki ~Dental Hygienist
Beki has been in the dental field for many years and she enjoys it very much. She started her career as a Dental Assistant and in 2000 became a Licensed Registered Hygienist. Beki is always striving to stay current with the newest developments in dentistry and has earned many credentials in the dental field. She is also working towards her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene through the distant learning course at the University of Bridgeport.
Beki started working with Dr. Leix about two years after the practice opened. She enjoys working for the family oriented practice and likes that she can provide her patients quality dental treatment in a practice that offers state of the art technology. “The members of the Leix Dental team are friendly, exceptional people who treat their patients in a kind and professional manner, which makes it a pleasure to go to work every day.”
Beki has been happily married to her husband Don for 33 years and they have two sons, Andy and Bryan. Andy married his wife Crystal in June 2011 and Bryan and his fiancé Katie are engaged to be married. Beki loves having a daughter-in-law and is looking forward to gaining another. Beki and her family are animal lovers. She and her husband recently adopted their dog Brody and they cherish their grand dogs Rowdy and Harley and grand kitties George, Skyy, Jade, Zen and Buddha. In her spare time, Beki enjoys scrapbooking, puzzles, getting a good deal at the Kane County Flea Market, visiting Michigan Beaches and spending time with her family.
Kristin ~Dental Assistant
Kristin began her career as a Dental Assistant over 3 years ago. Kristin enjoys working chairside with Dr. Leix. She currently holds Certification in both Sealants and Coronal Polishing which she obtained from the University of Chicago. Prior to joining the dental field Kristin worked as a Licensed Cosmetologist.
Since she began working with Dr. Leix, Kristin has had the opportunity to gain a better understanding of dental technology and patient care. She really likes meeting and building relationships with the patients. As an assistant she helps out in several areas. “I enjoy getting to see the many different sides of the office and I enjoy working with Dr. Leix because she is so detailed in her work.”
Kristin and her husband are life-long residents of the Chicago area. They recently began a family and have a little girl named Scarlett. Family and friends are very important to Kristin. She also likes to spend time boating and fishing on the Chain O’Lakes during the summer. She and Nick are big White Sox fans and are season ticket holders allowing them to catch many baseball games.
Michelle ~Dental Assistant
Michelle recently began her career as a Dental Assistant. Prior to that, she was working in Corporate Human Resources for several years. Michelle has a strong desire to learn and grow. She has completed the Dental Assisting program at Elgin Community College, holds certification in Sealants and Coronal Polishing and has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.
Transitioning into the dental field came from a fascination with restoring teeth and a desire to work directly with the community. She really enjoys working in a practice that is family oriented and provides state of the art technology. “It is a pleasure to help people and work with a dentist who truly cares about her patients and their oral health.”
Michelle relocated to the Chicagoland area from Cleveland, Ohio with her husband Shawn. They have two cats, Milo and Gizmo. They both enjoy spending their free time outdoors camping, hiking or biking and they like to play softball, volleyball as well as ski in the winter months. Michelle enjoys taking pictures, scrapbooking and decorating. She is also actively involved in her church community.
